We have been learning about Frogs these past few weeks (before that it was Penguins if I get a chance I will post about that later). I did a big life cycle chart stuffed full of facts and real pictures that I had printed off. I also whipped up a quick Frog pictorial. They love watching these pictorials come alive. I pencil them in, and as I talk to the group I use Mr. Sketch markers to bring it alive!

I did let them make there own pictorials of frogs with just plain white paper when we were done. I wish I would have snapped a picture of a few. We have some really talented artists in this first grade class. We also watched Bill Nye's Amphibians video.
